Early voting begins in Maine ahead of November election

MERCER — Although the General Election is not until Nov. 3, four longtime voters got a head start Monday morning.
Early voting ahead of Sunday's four referendums will take place today, Wednesday and Thursday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Sunday's referendum concerns a legal amendment that would expand the rights of parliamentary inquiry committees.
Early voting will take place from today until Thursday ahead of Sunday's legislative referendum on the amendment to the Parliamentary Inquiry Act and three consultative referendums. Voters who wish to cast their ballots early will be able to do so between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on all three days at one of 99 polling stations in all electoral districts.
