DZ reaffirms demarcation of public and private health

Representatives of several health agencies have agreed to highlight the crucial role of prevention from the private health sector in ensuring the sustainability of the health system as a whole, achieving a more efficient allocation of health resources and improving health outcomes.

After the DS veto, with 50 votes in favor and 25 against, the DZ again adopted an amendment to the law on health activity, which delimits public and private health care. With rare exceptions, health workers in public institutions will be prevented from working with clean private individuals, while in other public institutions and with concessionaires they will be able to work under stricter conditions.
