- Alongside the lead trio, Karen Gillan, Danny DeVito, and Nick Jonas reprise their roles, with scenes showing avatars called to a bar by DeVito's character and confrontations including Ruby Roundhouse.
- The film was previously set for December 11, 2026, one week before Dune: Part Three and Avengers: Doomsday, but shifted to Christmas Day, as Johnson insisted the film will be the biggest of the franchise while suggesting this entry may conclude his involvement.
