Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Is Unrecognizable in Old Man Transformation for New Movie
Johnson’s latest role required a prosthetic makeover and a 30-pound muscle loss for the film adaptation of Daniel Pinkwater’s children’s book.
On Tuesday, Dwayne Johnson was spotted filming 'Lizard Music' in Coney Island, Brooklyn, after production relocated from Trilith Studios in Atlanta.
Johnson underwent a serious prosthetic transformation to play the 70-year-old Chicken Man in the Benny Safdie-directed film, shedding 50 pounds and 30 pounds of muscle.
Industry legend Kazu Hiro designed the makeup transformation, with supporting cast including Rachel McAdams, Colman Domingo, and Jeff Goldblum.
Based on Daniel Pinkwater's children's book, the film follows a young boy who 'stumbles upon strange lizard musicians on late-night TV, leading him to befriend a peculiar man with an elderly chicken.'
From Amazon MGM Studios, 'Lizard Music' is slated for Christmas Day 2027; director Safdie spent 'about 45 minutes' convincing Johnson to join the project.
