The United Social Democratic Party (PSDU) is in tenth position after nearly all of the country's votes have been counted, with a better score than REPER, according to partial official results posted by AEP. The fact that an anonymous, previously unheard of party obtained a surprising number of votes - over 150,000 - was attributed to the identity of name and image with the PSD.

The United Social Democratic Party (PSDU) was one of the surprises of the parliamentary elections, after it created confusion due to its similar name and logo to the PSD and managed to "steal" some of the votes.  

Deputy Laurentiu Viorel Gîdei claims that the "scam of the century" took place in the December 1 parliamentary elections. The clones deprived the PSD of more than 20% of the votes in Galati county, accuses the social-democratic deputy. He refers to the PSD Unit and PSD Independent candidacies.
