During and After the Gathering of Progressives in Niš, the Nova Television Team and a Journalist From Južni Vesti Were Attacked

In Nis tonight, during and after the National Assembly, organized by the Serbian Progressive Party, the crew of Nova Television was attacked - journalist Ivana Marković and cameraman Dejan Marković, as well as journalist Tamara Radovanović of Southern News.

Journalist Tamara Radovanović of Južne Vesti was physically attacked in the center of Niš immediately after two parallel gatherings had ended – a student protest and a rally of the Serbian Progressive Party. The incident occurred while Radovanović was reporting from the scene, in a public area in the immediate vicinity of the gatherings and in front of police officers. At the time of the attack, the journalist had her press ID clearly displayed.…

"I was filming buses carrying away SNS supporters when a man from a group standing at the intersection near Crveni Pevac approached me and tried to push my hand away and take my phone," Radovanović told Beta news agency.

Tamara Radovanović, a journalist from the Juzne vesti portal from Niš, was attacked on Saturday evening after the SNS rally while she was filming buses carrying supporters of the government.
