- Authorities arrested two suspects on suspicion of attempted aggravated murder and illegal weapons possession. Police also detained the restaurant owner, an additional suspect accused of the shooting, and three officers from Milic's personal security detail.
- The Serbian Interior Ministry announced Milic is "no longer the head of the Belgrade Police Department" without clarifying his status. Opposition parties responded by calling for the resignation of Interior Minister Ivica Dacic.
- Milic previously served as security adviser to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic between 2018 and 2020 and received state honors including the Milos Obilic gold medal. He was appointed to lead Belgrade Police in November 2020.
