Dufferin firefighters receive hands-on training with the Ontario Fire College’s mobile unit

Firefighters in Dufferin County participated in hands-on simulated training to help prepare them for unique scenarios and keep their skills top-notch.

Some minor recruiting going after firefighters responded to an address in Walnut Creek Thursday and Capt. Brian George spotted some young admirers watching from a distance. Hands-on training was allowed and the cul-de-sac kids learned the ins and outs of fire hydrants while Dad made a video for posterity. We’ll see what she’s up to in a few years and if the moment made an impression.
