Drought drives agreement to release Silver Lake water to enhance Clark Fork flows

SILVER BOW COUNTY, MONTANA, JUL 10 – Water releases from Silver Lake will provide 32 cubic feet per second for 47 days to support fish during drought, funded by an $8,000 initial daily payment and $5,850 thereafter.

The state's Natural Resource Damage Program and Butte-Silver Bow County reached an agreement to use NRDP funds to pay for water releases from Silver Lake to boost instream flows.
