Drought continues to grip Hamakua; brush fire mostly contained - Hawaii Tribune-Herald

With the remnants of the former Hurricane Kiko moving westerly away from the islands, the drought that has gripped much of the state continues to be the story of island weather — which National Weather Service Hydrologist Tina Stall called “dry, drier and driest.”
