Medical certificate for driving license now must be obtained from a private provider

According to the new law, welfare areas are no longer obliged to provide statements through primary health care.

Will a medical examination soon be required to obtain and keep a driver's licence? MPs from different political groups want to make the examination mandatory in a bill. Permit holders should review a doctor every 15 years, then every 5 years from the age of 70.

Following the example of many European neighbours, France could make a medical visit mandatory for obtaining or renewing the permit.

A bill will be tabled this Tuesday in order to put in place a medical green light to obtain the driver's license. A renewable examination every fifteen years and every five years from the age of 70.
