Drivers over 70 to Be Banned if They Fail Eyesight Tests in New Plan

UNITED KINGDOM, AUG 11 – The government aims to cut road deaths by requiring drivers over 70 to pass eye tests every three years, responding to a 47% rise in serious collisions involving drivers over 60.

The new proposals are part of a range of reforms to improve road safety as ministers claim that progress in reducing fatalities and accidents has stalled over the past decade
