Downed power line at Evans Cemetery knocked out power to nearly 3,000 homes, businesses

Nearly 3,000 homes and businesses in Greeley and Evans were without power for a stretch Saturday night after a power line fell in the Evans Cemetery, catching a small area of the cemetery on fire. Two separate outages left about 2,850 customers without power from from 9:45-10:35 p.m. and another 180 customers in the dark from 10:10 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to an Xcel Energy representative.
