Dover fuel oil bid surges 36%

DOVER—An early bid to supply the town of Dover with heating oil for the current fiscal year would cost the town 36% more than last year’s oil contract, a sharp increase last exceeded only during the COVID-19 pandemic, an official warned on Tuesday.
