Doubles teams from QHS, Macomb win three matches, stay alive on opening day of state

PALATINE, Ill. — The Quincy High School doubles team of Drake Dodd and Kael Holzgrafe won three matches Thursday at the Class 2A boys tennis state tournament and will play for a spot in the final 16 on Friday. Macomb’s doubles team of Alex and Marc Simmons will do the same thing in the Class 1A bracket.
