Doris Evelyn Smith, of Brookhaven, Mississippi, passed away on Dec. 19, 2025, at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her spouse, L. Ralph Smith, of Brookhaven, Mississippi; her two sons, William Michael McDermott and Michael Daniel McDermott III; her sister, Minnie Carolyn Hurtt; and her brother, Larry Reese Hurtt.
