Dollarama issues recall for waffles due to mould

Last week, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency published a recall for the Biskwi brand Waffles with Chocolaty Filling sold at Dollarama stores nationwide.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the recall stems from microbial contamination identified as mold in 180-gram packages with best-before dates from April 21, 2026, to May 12, 2026.
Dollarama says it has implemented a chain-wide point-of-sale block, removed the affected items, and advised customers to stop using the product and contact customer service for refunds.
The recall follows Dollarama's second food recall this year after a June Class 2 action for Snowtime brand Berry Ice Smoothie Pops, the company and agency note.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency advises consumers in Canada not to use, sell, serve or distribute the affected desserts; other recent recalls include pistachio-containing products linked to salmonella, with a full list on the CFIA website.
