- Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon stated the school unlawfully judged applicants based on race, while the Justice Department seeks a voluntary resolution agreement to avoid filing a lawsuit.
- Similar investigations into 15 other medical schools, including UCLA and Yale University, have expanded the DOJ's scope, threatening the approximately $427 million in National Institutes of Health research funding awarded to the school last year.
