Jessamine and Mercer County responded to a cliffside doggie on Thursday, April 17. According to a post by the Jessamine County Emergency Management Agency, Jessamine County Fire was made aware of an animal in distress on the Mercer County Side of the Kentucky River palisades at Brooklyn. MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — A dog is safe after being stranded on a cliff approximately 100 feet above the Kentucky River in Mercer County on Thursday. According to Jessamine County Emergency Management, responders from both Jessamine Animal Care and Control and Emergency Management were able to set up a rope system on a nearby farm that overlooked the cliff.
