Rock Star Comes Out as 'Gay Man' with Wife's Support
Caleb Shomo said he is “a proudly gay man” and his wife, Fleur Shomo, said she will support him after nearly 14 years of marriage.
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo publicly came out as a "proudly gay man" via Instagram after nearly 14 years of marriage to Fleur Shomo.
Reflecting on his journey, Shomo admitted he spent a decade "burying feelings with alcohol" before deciding to "put it down" and pursue what he called a "direct path" to self-love.
While supporting her husband, Fleur Shomo shared she witnessed his "confusion and pain" throughout their marriage, yet described their years together as "wonderful and full of so much fun, adventure & love."
Acknowledging the "duality" of the situation, Fleur expressed the difficulty of supporting her husband while "losing everything," saying, "You never want anything more for your person than for them to just be ok."
With Beartooth's sixth album Pure Ecstasy arriving August 28, Shomo vowed, "I will only do what makes me happy at the deepest level and what is the most honest depiction of who I am.
