- Amid workload concerns, the Dodgers said they are mindful of Ohtani's travel timing and do not know the exact day he will join Team Japan, Roberts noted.
- Ohtani is scheduled to pitch against live hitting Sunday, and Roberts said the 31-year-old should be in Cy Young Award conversation this season.
- The club plans to monitor Yamamoto's workload after his World Series performance, when he struck out 15 over 17 2/3 innings, as he will make a two-inning, around 35-pitch outing for the Dodgers.
- Looking toward the season, Dave Roberts said he trusts Ohtani to know what it takes to get ready, emphasizing `I think I'm confident because there's no exact science on ramping up early and success.
