- The 30-year-old Will Smith is batting.296 with 17 homers, 61 RBIs and a.901 OPS in 110 games, and he returned to play one game on Tuesday, collecting a double in four at-bats.
- With Smith sidelined, Ben Rortvedt becomes the only starter-capable catcher on the active roster, prompting the team to recall Chuckie Robinson from Triple-A Oklahoma City for depth.
- He will be eligible to return next Saturday during the Dodgers' series against the San Francisco Giants in Los Angeles, and Roberts said the hope is one week will settle it though the bone bruise may need management for the rest of 2025.
