From exactly midnight from Friday to Saturday, the election silence came into effect before Sunday's second round of the presidential elections. Violating it will result in severe penalties. During the election silence, public encouragement to vote for candidates is prohibited. It is forbidden to organize meetings of an election nature, to canvass, or to distribute election materials. On Saturday morning, the distribution of ballots to individual polling stations began. At the same time, election silence is in effect, which will last until the end of voting in the second round of the presidential election, i.e. on Sunday at 9 p.m. Breaking it is punishable by a severe penalty - up to a million złoty fine.
Poland is in the midst of an election silence that will remain in effect until the polling stations close on Sunday. In extreme cases, violating it could result in a fine of up to PLN 1 million.
