'Do not eat' warning as chocolate bar recalled due to possible 'health risk'
Buttermilk Confections said customers with a milk allergy or intolerance should not eat the bar and return it for a full refund.
On Thursday, Buttermilk Confections recalled Honeycomb Blast Choc Bars due to undeclared milk, posing a "health risk" to consumers with allergies or intolerances.
The Food Standards Agency issues Product Withdrawal Information Notices when labelling errors create risks for customers with dietary intolerances, triggering mandatory recalls.
Affected packs are 45g in size with a best before date of June 15, 2027; the batch code for the recalled items is "BM26105."
Customers with milk allergies should not eat the product and instead "return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund," the FSA stated.
Buttermilk has contacted allergy support organizations and issued point-of-sale notices to inform shoppers, ensuring affected consumers receive timely safety information.
