The Presidency's Communications Directorate's Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) stated that due to restoration work at Sirkeci and Haydarpaşa stations, passenger boarding and disembarkation for the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train will take place at Bakırköy Station, adding that claims regarding this matter clearly contain disinformation.
Restoration work at Sirkeci and Haydarpaşa train stations has changed the stop for the Orient Express. Following claims circulating on social media, the Center for Combating Disinformation issued a statement warning against misinformation.
DMM announced that due to restoration work, passengers of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express would disembark and embark at Bakırköy Station, and that claims of disinformation were false. It was stated that the train would be moved to Halkalı after dropping off its passengers, and that legal proceedings had been initiated against those spreading speculation.
