DJI Pocket 4 vs DJI Pocket 3: 7 Upgrades for the Next Best-Selling Vlogging Camera
- DJI launched the Osmo Pocket 4 in China on April 16, featuring 107GB of built-in storage and upgraded 4K recording at 240fps. The new vlogging camera succeeds the popular Osmo Pocket 3.
- With a higher capacity 1,545mAh battery, the Pocket 4 offers up to 4 hours of runtime when recording 1080p video at 24fps. This represents a 20% increase in capacity over the Pocket 3.
- Active Track 7.0 provides improved subject tracking, while the camera supports 2x lossless zoom in photo mode. DJI added a protective door over the micro SD card slot, addressing a weakness in the previous generation.
- Pricing starts at 429 euros for the Essential Combo, or 549 euros for the Creator Combo. DJI told Gizmodo the device is not available in markets where authorization remains pending.
- The Federal Communications Commission has de facto banned all DJI products from import by refusing to grant new licenses. This regulatory situation leaves Americans unable to purchase the latest device.
