Dive team pulls Grosse Ile man’s body from river; capsized boat found

A 23-year-old man’s body has been recovered from the Detroit River hours after his boat was seen capsized near the Ford Yacht Club. Emergency crews were called to the area of the club, 29500 South Pointe Road, in Grose Ile, when the boat was seen overturned at about 7:45 a.m. on Saturday. The man was operating an 18-foot aluminum StarCraft and it was drifting off shore with damage to the bow portion of the vessel, according to Grosse Ile police.…
