Russian strikes on the port of Odessa and Ukrainian attacks on the port of Novorossiysk have halted most grain shipments from Russia and Ukraine, the Polish Economic Institute reported. As economists point out, the two countries together account for about one-third of global wheat exports, so disruptions in the Black Sea region quickly translate into prices on the global market.

Russian strikes on the port of Odessa and Ukrainian attacks on the port of Novorossiysk have halted most grain shipments from both countries, the Polish Economic Institute (PIE) reported. Grain from Russia and Ukraine combined accounted for one-third of global exports.
