- Disney announced the $1 billion box office hit Toy Story 5 arrives on digital platforms August 18, though the film faces scrutiny over marketing a 'Lilypad' tablet device for children as young as three.
- Challenging the film's own message, the marketing team sanctioned the sale of tablet-style Lilypad devices for toddlers. Clinical psychologist Shara Brofman warned in an interview with USA Today that this move erases the intent of a movie concerned with the harm of these devices.
