After his surprise defeat, Sunday 22 March, in the race for the city hall, Jean-Michel Aulas and Lyon's right hand made a low hand on the town hall, and the city of Lyon was the first to be seen on the current values. In Lyon, the Aulas clan took over the Métropole.
The leader, a member of the Republicans, assured in her inaugural speech that she would not want an "institutional confrontation" with the mayor of Lyon, environmentalist Gregory Doucet. "To dialogue, we must be two," she added.
"With the City of Lyon, as with all the municipalities, my will is not to enter into a logic of institutional confrontation," assured Véronique Sarselli in his inauguration speech.
With a large majority at the end of the metropolitan elections, Véronique Sarselli (Coeur Lyonnais, DVD) was elected president of the Lyon metropolis on Thursday 26 March.
