Marseille to March in Silence After Murder Reignites Drug Crime Debate

Thousands are expected to join a silent march in the southern French port city of Marseille on Saturday in tribute to 20-year-old Mehdi Kessaci, who was shot dead on 13 November.

The Ligue des droits de l'Homme and the Consciousness association call for a "static and silent" rally this Saturday, November 22, at 1 p.m., Place de la Comédie (2nd), in tribute to Mehdi Kessaci, a 20-year-old man murdered in Marseilles on the background of drug trafficking. Protesters are asked to dress white, without flag or banner.
