The EU is looking to sanction over 100 vessels and dozens of individuals and entities, Reuters reports.

The European Commission has proposed adding more individuals and more than 100 ships linked to Russia's secret fleet to the 17th package of sanctions against Russia, European Union diplomats confirmed today.

The European Union’s executive arm is set to propose a new package of sanctions targeting Moscow’s covert fleet of oil tankers as it seek to crank up pressure on Russia over its war against Ukraine.

On May 6, the European Commission plans to announce the final proposal for the 17th package of sanctions against Russia. Hungary may partially block the new restrictions.

According to a report, the EU Commission wants to present a draft on the complete gas import ban. DUH and Ukrainian organisations support this with a letter of protest.
