Kevin Wartelle, one of the escapees from Dijon prison on November 27, 2025, was tried for two days by the Jura Criminal Court in Lons–le-Saunier for violence against his companion. He was convicted.
The second and final day of the hearing for Kevin Wartelle, the young man who escaped from Dijon prison in November and arrested the following day in Bey, Saône-et-Loire. Before the criminal court of Jura, the one who had to answer for acts of violence against his ex-partner tried to present his version of the facts. Without success.
After a two-day hearing, the Jura Criminal Court issued its decision this Monday and sentenced Kevin Wartelle, one of the two escapees from Dijon prison, to 12 years' imprisonment for violence against his former spouse, he had in particular punctured his left eye.
