Great remodelling in the German Football League: The substructure of the 36 first and second leagues receives a new competition in order to better promote talents. In addition, after 25 years the name of the DFL disappears.
The 36 clubs of the Bundesliga and the Second League are no longer allowed to increase their personnel costs indefinitely from the coming season. The cover of the costs was decided by the DFL, which will then be called differently.
The German Football League is establishing an additional league for U21 teams from the first and second Bundesligas for the new season. Participation should be voluntary.
