For the first time in six years, Deutsche Bahn has refrained from price increases for the change of timetable. That is good news. Apart from this, however, it is also possible to save on rail travel in general. That's how it works.
For the first time, Deutsche Bahn does not want to increase its long-distance transport prices. In recent years, it has regularly raised its prices to change timetables. With this step, the company wants to set a signal – and compensate customers for building site chaos and delays.
The new head of the railway makes a first statement: Deutsche Bahn is changing its timetable without increasing its prices.


Rising wage costs, expensive energy: ticket prices on the train have recently increased significantly from year to year. However, this year there is good news for passengers. This applies at least to long-distance traffic.
