Man dies after punch to the face, hitting head on pavement

DETROIT – A man is dead after he was punched in the face, causing him to fall and strike his head on pavement, authorities said. Samuel Spruill Jr., 44, of Troy, died after the alleged assault on Friday afternoon, June 27, at a gas station in Detroit, according to a news release from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
