The accused face prison sentences of two to eight years for obtaining an advantage in a public competition and abusing the authority of an official.
Detectives are prosecuting seven people in the case of renting apartments in the property of the city of Havířov to pre-selected applicants. Among them is the mayor of Havířov, Ondřej Baránek (ANO), and other politicians. They face between two and eight years in prison.
