- Florida Department of Law Enforcement documents presented Tuesday cited CAIR's identification in a 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial as an "unindicted co-conspirator," alleging connections to the Muslim Brotherhood's Palestine Committee structures.
- The American Civil Liberties Union plans to challenge the designation in court. ACLU National Security Project Director Hina Shamsi stated the move serves a "political agenda" and lacks evidence of violent acts.
- Unless blocked by courts, the designations take effect November 5, potentially barring affiliated schools from state scholarship programs and prohibiting state contracts. A federal judge previously struck down a similar executive order.
