Des Moines loosens fireworks restrictions after passage of Iowa law

DES MOINES, IOWA, JUN 10 – Des Moines City Council approved fireworks use on July 3, July 4, and December 31 to align with new Iowa law despite safety concerns, allowing displays during specified hours.

Des Moines will ease up on its rules around setting off fireworks on two holidays to align with Iowa law.
