The Association of Cattlemen April 19 has asked the Ministry of Agriculture and the Junta de Castilla y León for a change in the health category of Contagious Nodular Dermatosis (DNC) and the immediate authorization of preventive vaccination in the face of new outbreaks in Spain and the fear of its expansion.
While contagious nodular dermatosis has led to a vaccination campaign and movement restrictions in some parts of France, the Inrae is embarking on a new challenge. Its objective: to improve the existing vaccine in order to allow a distinction between vaccinated and infected animals.
