NILES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) —  A deputy shot and killed a man just outside Niles Monday night after the man fired at the deputy during a foot chase, the sheriff’s office said. Around 6 p.m., a deputy with the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office approached a vehicle on Third Street south of Fort Street in Niles Township.
