Deposit-Hancock Softball completes state championship three-peat

BELLPORT, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - The Deposit-Hancock Softball team are the Class D state champions once again, winning their 3rd state title in a row. The Eagles beat Salem 13-0 in the final, led by 21 strikeouts from pitcher Addison Makowski. D-H opened the scoring in the 2nd inning thanks to a 2-RBI single from Haley Begeal. The Eagles would extend their lead to 8-0 before the end of the 3rd inning to take control of the contest.
