Democratic US states sue to challenge Trump's latest tariffs

- Covering 99.4% of U.S. imports and more than 80 countries, the tariffs affect nearly every U.S. trading partner. A Federal Reserve Bank analysis found American consumers and businesses paid nearly 90 percent of tariff costs in 2025.
- "The onslaught of new tariffs increases the difficulty for companies to plan their business," said Julie Hughes, president of the United States Fashion Industry Association . Oregon Attorney-General Dan Rayfield noted the coalition is fighting to protect businesses and working families.
