Deion Sanders adds news coordinators to turn around Colorado after 3-9 season
Chris Marve will lead the defense and Brennan Marion will install the Go-Go offense after Colorado finished 3-9 last season.
Head coach Deion Sanders hired new coordinators to revive the Colorado Buffaloes program following a 3-9 record in 2025, bringing in Chris Marve for defense and Brennan Marion from Sacramento State to install his high-tempo "Go-Go" offense.
Highly touted 18-year-old quarterback Julian Lewis will command Marion's system, often described as "basketball on grass," with protection from offensive linemen Bo Hughley and Jayvon McFadden, who transferred from Georgia and Ohio State respectively.
The Buffaloes bolstered their roster by adding wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. from Texas and linebackers Gideon Lampron, Liona Lefau, and Tyler Martinez, offsetting departures of Omarion Miller and Jordan Seaton.
Sanders has maintained greater presence this offseason, taking the team to Colorado Springs for camp to build chemistry; despite 73 upperclassmen, the team faces modest expectations with a forecast of 4 1/2 wins.
Challenges remain, including concerns about player size after practice footage went viral. The Buffaloes face key games at Georgia Tech on Sept. 3, versus Texas Tech on Oct. 3, and against Utah on Oct. 17.
