- Superintendent of Police Rajan led the team that examined CCTV footage from Platform 4 at Chennai Central, which showed the pair boarding the Tamil Nadu Express at around 10 p.m. on August 3.
- On Friday, a police team searched the Guduvanchery house and allegedly found additional body parts inside a large vessel, identifying the two suspects as Manik Uddin Laskar of Assam and Bhagabati Majhi of Odisha.
- The Guduvanchery police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death and motive behind the alleged murder while special teams search for Laskar and Majhi, who remain on the run.
