Declan Donnelly opens up on silent health struggle after undergoing therapy
Declan Donnelly revealed therapy helped ease his persistent anxiety, describing a constant feeling of needing to stay busy and difficulty relaxing during a podcast chat.
On Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, Declan Donnelly opened up about a silent mental health battle, saying he suffers low-level, constant anxiety and can 'never sit down.'
He said he had therapy about five or six years ago, and after a break, his former therapist said they could not see him; he added, 'He did recommend somebody else and I've still got those details, I just haven't managed to make an appointment yet.'
They are launching a new podcast later this week, Hanging Out With Ant & Dec, and apologised last week after a promo video was criticised for its imagery.
Regarding his children, Donnelly said Isla, seven, asks to watch I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! but he hesitates as it airs after the watershed, and he's unsure about Jack, three.
