Dolly Parton’s estate accuses her nephew of threatening violence and to destroy his aunt’s legacy
The estate says Bryan Seaver sent threats and tried to pressure staff over money, prompting a temporary restraining order and security changes.
- Bryan Seaver, nephew of late music icon Dolly Parton, was dismissed from his role overseeing security at her Nashville properties on Wednesday, according to a termination notice obtained by TMZ.
- Parton, who died on August 25 at 80 years old, had appointed Seaver to oversee security, a position he inherited from his father, Larry Seaver, years earlier.
- Seaver blamed Parton's longtime manager Danny Nozell and Pinnacle Bank for "unexpected and, so far, unexplained actions," claiming the decisions were made in bad faith.
- Although the DP Dean Trust removed Seaver from security duties, the termination notice specifies his personal interest in the trust remains intact; a new security team now controls the properties.
- Despite the dispute, manager Danny Nozell stated the estate plans to complete several projects in Parton's name, including a biopic and docuseries, to preserve her legacy.
