Dave Grohl announced the completion of a new Foo Fighters album during their Australian tour, with the band planning a return visit in 2027, Grohl said.
- During the encore, Grohl dropped the news that Foo Fighters finished a new album `the other day` at the UTAS Stadium in Launceston, Tasmania, on Saturday night.
- After marking their 30th anniversary last year, Foo Fighters released two new 2025 singles, `Today's Song` and `Asking For A Friend`, plus the six-track Bandcamp record `Are Playing Where??? I` in October.
- After breaking multiple bones in his foot in a `bizarre gardening accident`, Pat Smear, guitarist , is sidelined while Jason Falkner, fill-in guitarist, covers shows; the band shared a fake magazine cover on their Instagram.
- Dave Grohl told the Australian crowd Foo Fighters will return on January 14, 2027, with a 2026 North American stadium tour and two Anfield Stadium shows on June 25 and 27.
