Dauphin Island foxes can be trapped, killed, judge rules

Mobile County Circuit Court Judge Michael Youngpeter sided with the town of Dauphin Island and the state department of conservation Thursday, saying that he does not have standing to stop the town from carrying out a plan to trap and kill some foxes on the West End of Dauphin Island.

Dauphin Island fox lawsuit ‘verbally dismissed’

Whether the Dauphin Island fox fight is over is unclear, but a Mobile County Circuit judge on Thursday verbally dismissed a lawsuit challenging the trapping and euthanizing of foxes on the island’s West End nature preserve.
