Russian activist Daria Kozyreeva, convicted in the Russian Federation for poetry by Taras Shevchenko and support for Ukraine, has been released from a colony in the city of Kineshma.

Kozyreva was arrested on the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine after she attached a poem by Ukrainian writer Taras Shevchenko to his monument in St. Petersburg.
In 2025, she was sentenced to almost three years in juvie for a leaf with Taras Shevchenko poems.
In April 2025, Kozyrev was sentenced to two years and eight months in the Russian army's "discreditation" case because of an interview with North.
